Pond & Wildlife Safety
- Please stay at least 30 feet away from ponds and lake edges, as alligators and other wildlife may be present.
- Do not allow children to play near ponds or shoreline areas.
- Keep pets away from ponds and other bodies of water.
- Never swim in, feed, touch, tease, or provoke wildlife. Feeding or harassing wildlife is dangerous, prohibited by law, and may result in fines.
- If an alligator hisses, slowly back away without sudden movements and leave the area immediately.
